Database Development & Internet Solutions
This database shows the interface for most of our current systems. The window title tells you which file or data area you are in and shows how many records are in the current selection and how many are in the current file. (Total records here are hidden out of respect for client privacy.)
The current file is repeated within the window. The word "Default" refers to the current display option. In other words, which columns are displayed. Currently the customer code, customer name and phone number are displayed.
The buttons are as follows:
- New: Create a new record
- View: View the highlighted record (same as double clicking a line)
- Layout: The triangle at the bottom right of the button indicates that this is a pop-up menu. In the menu you'll get a list of available list options. Use this button to switch to the display option of your choice. (Perhaps a different user would want to see the primary contact's name as well as outstanding amounts due.)
- Print: The pop-up menu list presents pre-built reports as well as a report writer.
- Search: Again, provides access to the pre-built searches as well as a search editor.
- All: Display all records.
- Delete:Delete the highlighted records.
- Actions:Perform some action against the current selection. For instance you can select a list of all the orders associated with the current list of customers.
